Mrs. Lallie Lee Hart's Obituary
Hart, Lalie Lee Tucker, 98, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday March 17, 2010. Born in Nashville, TN she came to St. Petersburg with her husband Harold in 1948 from Decatur, IL. In 1950, along with others, formed the Newcomers Club of St. Petersburg with Mrs. Hart serving as the first President. Mrs. Hart was an avid golfer and in 1952, she joined the Lakewood Country Club (now the St. Petersburg Country Club). Mrs. Hart was instrumental in helping to found the "SLAPS" Woman's Golf Association in St. Petersburg and was a member and past President of the West Coast Woman's Golf Association. Mrs. Hart played competitively until well into her 80's. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Lee Simpson of Oxford, Fl; three grandsons and two great granddaughters. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her name to the Humane Society or charity of choice.
