Kimberly Taylor Duncan's Obituary
Kimberly Ann Taylor Duncan, a radiant light to all who knew her and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, passed away in 2025 at the age of 58. Filled with faith and guided by the Holy Spirit, Kim lived a life marked by compassion, conviction, and unwavering grace.
Born in 1967, Kim moved from the Metroplex to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1990, where she continued to live out her calling: lifting others, loving deeply, and walking in truth. She lived a model Christian life—not for praise, but because she believed in doing what was right. Her every action was a quiet sermon in love, humility, and excellence.
A lifelong scholar and achiever, Kim graduated at the top of every class she ever took. Her brilliance led her into an extraordinary career in education, first as a Special Education Pre-K teacher and later as a school psychologist. In both roles, she fought tirelessly for children—often preventing misdiagnoses and ensuring students were truly understood and empowered. She mentored her colleagues with patience and insight, raising the bar in every school she touched. Kim didn’t just work in education—she transformed it.
Her mind was sharp, her spirit unshakable, her heart boundless, and her beauty—inside and out—was undeniable. She brought honor to her family and joy to those privileged enough to know her. Her presence made others feel seen, valued, and loved. Her smile could sink a ship.
Kim’s love extended to animals as well. She surrounded herself with birds, turtles, dogs, and cats—each one a testament to her nurturing soul.
She is survived by everyone reading this—because her influence lives on in every life she touched, every colleague she uplifted, and every child she championed. Her legacy is etched not just in memory but in the very fabric of better lives, better schools, and better communities.
Kim’s family remains devoted to carrying on her legacy—living with purpose, walking in faith, and striving always to be a light in the darkness, just as Kim was for so many.
In honoring Kim, we reflect not only on the remarkable life she led, but on the better people we became because we had the privilege of knowing her.
