Kenneth John Geary's Obituary
Died Saturday, February 10th, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Tampa. He was a native of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and came here in 1989 after previous residences in Texas, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Germany and Thailand. He was a veteran of both the Army and Air Force, and worked for the Veterans Administration, Department of the Army, and as a hair stylist, and in retail and in multiple other occupations. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, and spending time with friends and family. He believed that living a life honest to yourself is the only way to be honest with those around you. The spontaneity, excitement, tenderness and kindness he inspired in others fully reflected his own enormous capacity to love. His generosity as a life partner, friend and father touched many, many lives impassioning a deep loyalty. Ken's joyful life and memory will be carried in the hearts of his friends and family. He will be keenly missed. Survivors include his partner of 21 years, Jim Milne; two sons, Lance Phillips of Huntersville, NC, and Schadd Phillips of Oakboro, NC; four grandchildren, Caden, Gavin, Jade and Landen Phillips, all of North Carolina; three brothers, Barry Geary, New Brighton, Pennsylvania, Arthur (Keith) Geary, Post Falls, Idaho, and Richard Geary, Corning, California; and many friends, family and loved ones. Memorial Park Funeral Home, St. Petersburg. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at 4 pm, in the Sunset Beach Pavilion, 8000 West Gulf Blvd, on Sunset Beach, Treasure Island, Florida
