Karen Haynes McCafferty's Obituary
Karen Haynes McCafferty, 80, of St. Petersburg, Florida sadly passed away on December 20, 2023. Born on March 11, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio, Karen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to the service of others. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and dedicated many years to teaching Bible Study. She also loved art and created stained glass; she created hundreds of pieces for friends and family alike, and she became known for the stained glass crosses that she would make for families who had lost a loved one, as a symbol of hope and comfort in their time of grieving. Karen always had an open ear and a helping hand.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband Richard Haynes. She is survived by her long time best friend and husband, David McCafferty, her daughters Kim Russell and Kristi Campbell, sons-in-law Allen Russell and Jon Campbell; grandchildren Michael, Lane, and Christopher Russell; and her sister, Barbara Mariner. Karen will be dearly missed and always remembered by those who love her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 11:00 am, followed by a burial service at 12:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery.
