Karen Hawkins Jones' Obituary
Karen Hawkins Jones, 76, of Spring Hill, sadly passed away on May 25, 2024. A Florida native, Karen was born on August 22, 1947 to her parents William and Iduma and spent most of her life living in St. Petersburg where she devoted many years to being doting mother as well as to her 30 year career as a phlebotomist. Aside from singing in her church choir, she also sang semi-professionally in her youth and was renowned for her beautiful voice. In her later years, she found great joy in finding treasures in antique stores and collecting the unique things she came across.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, William C. Jones and Iduma Peel Jones. She is survived by her son, Wesley Hawkins, who was her whole world, as well as her daughter-in-law Dena Hawkins and her two brothers, Phil Jones and Rick Jones.
