Mrs. June W. Carbone's Obituary
Carbone, June Withers, 89, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Saturday March 20, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Philip M. Carbone. June was born Feb. 18, 1921 in Panama City, Fl. a daughter of the late Wesley C. and Arlean J. Withers. The family moved to St. Petersburg in 1921 and she attended local schools and graduated from St. Petersburg High School. After high school she moved to New York where she was employed by the FDIC. She returned to St. Petersburg and worked for the VA, where she earned many commendations. She retired after a total of 40 years. She is survived by her sister, Ozell Ruttan , Wetumpka, AL; a brother, Robert E. Withers, Lake Wales, FL; sister-in-law, Mary Sardin, St. Petersburg; ten nieces and six nephews; many great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. June had much love for all her family and was much loved by all of them. Family will receive friends from 1PM to 2PM on Monday March 29th at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held there at 2PM with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation 5771 Roosevelt Blvd Clearwater, FL 33760.
