My Auntie Joyce was one of my favorite people and I will miss her tremendously. She was my Godmother and the best storyteller. I loved to listen to her tales of adventures and family shenanigans. One of my treasured memories is of my parents and Auntie Joyce and Uncle Don gathered around their kitchen table eating great holiday food and laughing uproariously as they told jokes and shared family experiences with us cousins. Brian and I brought our daughters to visit several times when the goat herd was large. What fun they had playing and feeding the babies. Always quick to share her knowledge, Auntie taught us to milk. Her faith was strong and obvious, her talents many. She recently reminded me of a larger than life-size painting of Snow White that she did on the wall of my bedroom when I was 8 years old. My Mom passed away 7 months ago and I know how my Aunt missed her. I am comforted to know she is now pain free and the love legacy she leaves behind is strong.
