Joseph Vondracek, 74, of St. Petersburg, passed away Tuesday Jan. 16 at the Palms of Pasadena Hospice Unit. He was a native of Manatoba, Canada and moved to this area in 1970 from Toronto, Canada. He was a member of Northside Bapt Read Obituary
I was lucky enough to have Joe on my maintenance team at Bel-Air Apartments from 1996 to 1998. I have been a manager for apartments for 22 years and I have never had an employee who worked as hard as Joe. Even at age 62, he could run circles around all of the other guys. I think of him often and hope he had a wonderful life.

I remember Mr. Vondracek always having a smile on his face and greeted you with warm, kind words. He drove his little black truck around, full of every tool you could imagine, and was always ready to help you fix anything and everything. Every time I saw him, he seemed to be working on something - he had a heart of gold. I am a friend of his son, John. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
