Joseph V. "Joe" Sarazen's Obituary
Sarazen, Joseph V (Joe) 82, passed away peacefully in the arms of the lord Tuesday April 26, 2016 at Lexington Rehabilitation Facility after a lengthy illness.
Born in Niagara Falls, New York he was the son of the late Harvey and Elizabeth Sarazen. Joe was a proud Corporal that served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joe worked as a Construction Superintendent and during his “retired” years he worked at Publix Supermarket.
Joe was a kind, gentle and loving man who loved his family and church family with all his heart. He loved to travel and sing in the church choir. He will be forever missed by his family, friends and all that have known and loved him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Rosaline, Harriet, Jeanette, Florence and brother Gerald. He is survived by his loving wife Judy, daughter Karen LaFrance(Joe), son Mark (Gayle), sister Mary Ann Clark, grandchildren Christopher Heinrich (Brandy), Jennifer Kubiac (Jeff Devin), Matthew LaFrance (Jenn), Lisa Marie LaFrance and Ayah Norris, great-grandchildren Devin Heinrich, Ciarra LaFrance, and Stella Jayde LaFrance. And many nieces and nephews along with his sister in law Beverly DuBois.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday April 30th at 2pm at Hope Lutheran Church 1801 62nd Ave N. St Petersburg. The service will be followed by burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
