Joseph Dominic “The Legend” Majewski passed away on October 11, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida, at the age of 94. Born on October 3, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph lived a life shaped by devotion - both to his country and to those he held dear.
A proud American, Joseph severed honorably in the Korean War, embodying courage and steadfastness. The discipline and dedication of his service echoed throughout his life’s path, anchoring him through decades marked by resilience and quiet strength.
He shared a deep bond with this beloved wife Dorothy, who preceded him in death. Together they nurtured a family that became the heart of Joseph’s world. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Dorothy (Walt) and Jeanne (Joey), his son Joseph, and son-in-law Steven. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Steven (Ron) and Jennifer (Phillip), and great-grandchildren Ashton and Nora.
To those who knew him, Joseph was more than a name - he was “The Legend”, a presence whose unwavering faith and enduring spirit left indelible marks on countless hearts. His memory echoes in stories shared across generations and the quiet strength he passed down. A Memorial Service will be held on November 1, 2025, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th Street N., at 3:00 PM. A celebration of life gathering immediately after the services at Memorial Park. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations are to be made at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
