Mr. Joseph Albert Krepcio Sr.'s Obituary
The Lord whispered the name, Joseph Albert Krepcio, Sr, 91, of St. Petersburg, Florida, who went peacefully into his arms on May 13, 2011 at Bay Pines Veteran's Hospital, Hospice Unit. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Helen Czerwinski Krepcio and son Joseph Albert Krepcio, Jr. Born in Hartford, Connecticut on April 23, 1920 he was the son of Anthony and Anna (Nitkiewicz). Joseph grew up in Hartford and attended Hartford public schools. Once completing High School he enlisted in the US Navy where he served aboard Submarine Chaser - 658. After serving 2 years in the Navy, Joseph went to work for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, Connecticut for 43 years as a Tool & Die Maker. Joseph is survived by his loving daughter, Pamela Puskas of St. Petersburg, Florida, his son, Richard Krepcio of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and grandchildren, Jolynne Best and her husband Allen of Glastonbury, Connecticut, Paula Custer and her husband Michael of Land O Lakes, Florida, Joseph Albert Krepcio, III and his fiancee' Christine Cunningham of Windsor, Connecticut. He also leaves his brother, Walter Krepcio and his wife Helen of Wethersfield, Connecticut. Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel At Bay Pines on the 5th floor, Ward 5-C on Thursday, June 9, 2011 with burial following at 12:45 pm at the Veterans Administration Bay Pines Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph's name to Veterans Administration Hospice, Ward 5C, 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines, Florida 33710. To everyone at the Veterans Administration our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude for everything you did for Joseph. Everyone connected with the Community Living Center and most definitely with Hospice. Your compassion and concern are above any we have ever experienced. God bless you all.
