I was sorry to learn of John's passing. We've been friends since our NEHI days and enjoyed seeing him at reunions and other gatherings over the years. He was truly a good guy. RIP.

Fortunate is the best word I can think of.
John was so many things to me. He came into my life more than 60 years ago when he married my sister Diane. He was a brother-in-law, a father figure, and a friend to me throughout the years. He has left me with so, so many fond memories as I'm sure he has with others.
I was fortunate to have had you in my life John. Rest in peace. You will not be forgotten.

John was an exceptional person. His kindness and friendship will always remain in my heart. Special family times will remain with our family and never be forgotten. Those of us that were fortunate enough to be a part of John's life are grateful and blessed.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family for comfort and peace.

Having been a classmate and team member at Northeast High School with John, he was always one that you could count on have your back. As the years progressed and John and I went in different directions, he was always someone who continued to be there for his friends, to help you in times of need. As a professional, John was always in control of his emotions, but those of us who knew him well knew another wildside to John. Occasionally, it would surface in some hilarious venues! Those of you who knew John know what I'm talking about. I will remember my time with John as one of many, many happy thoughts and exciting teenage memories that I will take with me forever.

I knew John for over 50 years and say from the heart he was deeply and dearly loved. He gave so much to so many, asking little or nothing in return. John was a very warm, fun, down to earth person who loved to be surrounded by family, especially his children and grandchildren. When I think of him I am completely filled with gratitude, because I was lucky enough to know him in this lifetime. John, thank you for being you, for being so kind and for loving all of us throughout the years.
Even though John and I took different paths many years ago I cherish the memories of our years together as a young family with our two children - Jay and Nila Dawn (Bootsie). He was a wonderful father and such a positive influence in their lives. As a person I always respected John for his kindness, loyalty, and concern for all of my family members. He became a surrogate father to my three nephews who tragically lost their father when they were young. I am so thankful we remained friends throughout the years sharing our children and grandchildren. I’m deeply saddened by John’s passing but comforted by knowing he had a full and happy life.

Chuck, Tammie, Chas, & Carly (Sarlo) Sanders are all sadden to hear of John passing but we know he is with his dear friends and family in heaven and probably at the dinner table with Mentholee, Jay, Donald, Doris, and my mother Jenny. Each time we saw John at the Williams Family Reunion in Old Homosassa, he was always smiling and wanting to know all about you and family. John was a very smart and polite man and did so much for so many including me when I was young and dumb. Thank you John for being a great cousin and organizer or our reunion for many years. Laura, Aunt Ingrid, Jay, Bootsie, and family, we are so sorry for your loss and will pray for strength in days to come. God Bless you all. The Charles Sanders Family.
