Mr. John P. Stein's Obituary
John Paul Stein, 56, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Florida after a lengthy illness. John was born April 8, 1959 in Norwalk, OH, to Paul and Mary Alice (White) Stein. He moved with his family to the St Petersburg area in 1971.
On Oct 1, 1988, he married the love of his life Mary Dudics of Norwalk, OH. They made their home in St. Petersburg.
John was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be missed by many. He embraced his Catholic faith. He enjoyed boating, garage saleing, fishing with his sons and cooking with his family and friends. John worked for 30 years at Island Nautical where he made many good friends.
He is survived by his mother Mary Alice Stein, his wife Mary Stein, his children David, of Clearwater, FL. Randy, of St. Petersburg, FL and Mark, at home. Also surviving are siblings Jerry Stein (Candy), Diane Pereira (Raymond), Charles "Chuck" Stein (Wendy), Connie Merrill (Tom), Nancy Newhouse (Mike), and dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Paul B. Stein in 2006 and sister Kathy Stein Saunders in 2014. He will forever be in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park, FL on Friday May 15, 2015 at 11:30am.
