John Maroules' Obituary
John Maroules was born in Ithaca, Greece on April 5, 1931, and passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his savior Jesus Christ on March 5, 2023. John moved to the United States in his early 20’s and settled in Gary, Indiana where he met the love of his life- Eleni Cholomitis. They were happily married for 55 years and had one daughter- Paula. The family lived in Gary, Indiana for many years while John served the community through his business- a local grocery store. In the early 1970’s, John and his family decided to move to St. Petersburg, Florida in the search of new opportunities. John owned and managed properties, but his true commitment was to his local church- St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church. He faithfully served as President of the church board for many years and was very well-respected within the community. John had a passion for serving others, helping in any way he could, and living a life honoring to God. He was a true blessing to anyone who had the immense pleasure of knowing him.
