Mr. John A. Lovell's Obituary
LOVELL, John A. passed away August 10, 2014 at Palm Gardens of Largo nursing home. He was born in Woburn, MA on August 17, 1926 to Margaret and Arthur Frotten. He was later adopted by John Lovell, who along with his maternal grandfather, raised him. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1951 or 1952 where he built his own house, went into business for himself and ended up working for and retiring from the city of St. Petersburg, before going successfully into business for himself again. He was a sheet metal mechanic who said he could build anything. He wasn't bragging. His great love was the outdoors, primarily hunting followed closely by fishing. He is survived by his wife, Ellie, sons David and Alan, daughters Joan and Barbara, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and sister Shirley. Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 5:30 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at St. Vincent's Episcopal Church on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10 am.
