John H. Lankenau's Obituary
Lankenau, John H., 89, of Pinellas Park, beloved husband and devoted father, died on Tuesday July 20, 2010. He was an Army veteran of WW II and participated in the D Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Systems Analyst/Programmer for American Can Co for 42 years. He moved to the area in 1983 and has been very active in Mainlands #6. He was a Mason at Tenakill, N.J. Lodge #77 and a member of the Bay Pines Chapter of the DAV. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Alfred. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, June; daughters, Ellen (Tony) Komon and Laraine Witt; grandchildren, Jenifer McMurray(Jason), Zachary Komon(Janice), Joshua Komon; great granddaughter, Sydney McMurray; sister, Kathryn Tedesco; and brother, Walter Lankenau.
