John J. Holtsclaw: Oct. 6, 1938 - Oct. 18, 2024
On Oct 18, 2024, John Holtsclaw Sr. was called to heaven to be reunited with his Mother, Leona Holtsclaw; Father, Louis V. Holtsclaw; Sister, Carol Baugh; Granddaughter, Kristin Holtsclaw; and Great Grandson, Noah Nehemiah Coates. He is survived by his loving wife of Linda Holtsclaw; Sons: John Holtsclaw and his wife, Debbie; Timothy Holtsclaw and his wife, Kelly; Doug Every and his wife, Lisa; Grandchildren Rachael, Rebecca, Jessica, Elizabeth, Margaret, Gage, and Connor. With 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, as well as numerous individuals, his testimony has influenced and changed their lives.
Following his distinguished service in the US Navy, John had an entrepreneurial spirit, high moral character, and unmatched work ethic. These traits guided him to success in the financial industry, where he founded multiple businesses under the Faith Financial umbrella. John's business acumen allowed him to pursue his interests in sailing, traveling, and admiring God's handy work in nature. John was a spiritual mentor in business and life. Most importantly, the young lives, he reached through decades of work within the church's bus ministry and junior church program. His love for God, his family, and his community set an unparalleled example for all blessed to have known him. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Community Bible Baptist Church located at 6565 78th Ave. N in Pinellas Park, FL. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM.
