Mr. John Fugate's Obituary
Mr. John Fugate of Kenneth City, Florida and formerly of Niagra Falls, New York, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 6, 2018 in St. Anthony's Hospital of St. Petersburg, Florida. He was 84.
John was born May 01, 1934 in Lackey, Kentucky, the beloved son of the late Allen and Larcy Fugate. He worked 41 years as a proud steel worker for Globe Metallurgical, Inc. in Niagra Falls, New York. Moving to Kenneth City, Florida in 2002, he was an active member of Northside Baptist Church and a former member of the St Petersburg ELKS Lodge #1224 B.P.O.E.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Oma Faye Adkins, Ida Mae "Jackie" Sandlin and Bertha Lucille Frasier. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Samuel Fugate and Amos Fugate.
John is survived by his loving wife of 55+ years, Kathleen Fugate; two sons, Matthew Fugate and John Fugate and two daughters, Debbie Goetz and Beth Ann Humphries. John is the loving grandfather of Allen Fugate and John Michael Fugate.
Visitation will be 10am until 11am followed by funeral services at 11am Friday, August 10, 2018 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th St N, St Petersburg, FL 33709. Immediately following the services, friends and family will recess to the Garden of Reflection of Memorial Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
