One of our many Christmas vacations together in Allen Park, Michigan.
Any time I look at family pictures or think of Uncle John, he is always smiling. I will always remember his welcoming hugs whenever we were together. We've spent so many summer and Christmas vacations together and they were always filled with lots of fun, good food, laughter and love. Uncle John's hard work, faith and love for family, relatives, and friends left a loving imprint on my heart. I will miss him along with many others.
My wife, Sandy and I had a chance to visit Uncle John and Aunt Fern last year in their home and we even went out to Uncle Johns favorite greek restaurant. we had a great time while visiting and talking to them. Whenever I was a kid, I would always love to go to Oaklawn and spend time with my extened family, it always felt like a family reunion and big event in my life. Whenever I talked to Uncle John, it was mostly conversations about how the Chicago Cubs were doing that year or about the Detroit Tigers, good conversations!!!! He will be dearly missed and continuely loved by the people who knew him.
