Joanne Emily Faegenburg's Obituary
Joanne Emily Faegenburg, age 94, of Valrico, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on February 22, 2026, at Brandon Hospital after a brief illness.
Born on September 26, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Ebeling and Edwin Petersen. Joanne made her home in St. Petersburg, Florida, from 1959 to 2002, where she raised her family and created many of her most treasured memories.
She was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Stanley Hall; her second husband, Merrill Faegenburg; and her cherished daughter, Amy Lyles.
Joanne is survived by her sons, Adam Hall and his wife, Laura, of Valrico, Florida, and Sanford Hall and his wife, Lydia, of St. Petersburg, Florida; her granddaughters, Melissa, Katelyn, and Emily; and her great-granddaughter, Lydia, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy in her life.
She spent her career as a secretary and took great pride in being a steady and dependable source of support to those around her. An avid reader with a sharp wit and keen sense of humor, Joanne treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her strength and resilience in her later years will forever be remembered by those who had the blessing of knowing and loving her.
A memorial service celebrating Joanne’s life will be held on March 2, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor her memory.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
