Joan Lillian Lackore's Obituary
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at the age of 94. She is now at home with her Heavenly Father.
Joan was born on June 20, 1931, in Camden, New Jersey to Lillian and Joseph Boulton. She was introduced to Vance Lackore, a sailor in the U.S. Navy, and, in her own words, they “fell madly in love.” Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed five children.
A devoted Christian, Joan was an active member of Northside Baptist Church, where she was involved in many ministries over the years. Her faith guided every part of her life, and she found great joy in serving others and sharing God’s love.
Joan is survived by her loving children: Debi (Harold) Clark, Linda (Ernie) Rehnke, Richard (Tammy) Lackore, Ronald (Lanora) Lackore, and David (Kelley) Lackore; grandchildren: Jeff (Kay) Williams, Kristen (Corey) Shannon, Ryan (Brooke) Lackore, Tiffany (Freddie) Morrisette, Liz (Sam) Joseph, Austin (Carolyn) Lackore, Jacob (Shalee) Lackore, Caitlin (Gary) Troyer, Abbey Lackore, and Dillon Lackore; and great-grandchildren: Haley Williams, Devin Shannon, Elizabeth Fernandez, Dayjion Morisette, Lauren Shannon, Jacob Williams, Evan Lackore, Madison Lackore, Rokket Lackore, Emmie Joseph, Atlas Lackore, Aiden Lackore, Georgia Joseph, Riley Morisette, and Savannah Morisette.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vance Lackore; grandson, Jason Williams; and great-granddaughter, Kayla Williams.
Joan will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
