Mr. Jesus A. Martinez's Obituary
MARTINEZ, Jesus A., age 86, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009. Born in Havana, Cuba, on March 1, 1922, Jesus moved his family from Cuba to Spain in 1967, and then moved to Tampa, Florida with his family in 1972. He and his wife, Berta moved to St. Petersburg, Florida after his retirement from a career with HRS Audit Services. He was a devout Catholic, and a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree, achieving Grand Knight status. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife of 55 years, Berta; daughter Lourdes and her husband Terry ; son Luis and his wife Lauren; grandchildren Alexandra, Haley, Sydney, Alex and Merv; and great-grandson, Zachary. A private memorial service will be held in St. Petersburg, FL, with a Catholic Mass to be held for friends and family in Tampa, FL.
