Jesse Jackson's Obituary
Jesse Jackson, 74, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Jesse was born is Sandersville, GA in 1948 and shortly after, the family moved to the Tampa Bay area.
After graduation, Jesse enlisted in the Army and had the honor to serve his country during the Vietnam War as a decorated soldier and Purple Heart recipient.
Returning from the war, Jesse made St. Petersburg his forever hometown and began to build his family and empire.
Jesse was a jack of all trades. he took his extensive knowledge and started his business journey constructing local buildings with his company Rainbow Concrete & Masonry. He poured many Long Island Ice Tea's as the bar owner of Somethin' Different and The Stinger Bar.
Jesse touched a lot of lives and will be greatly missed.
He's Gone Fishin'.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife Julie Jackson; daughters Laverne, Heather, Ginny and Tameka; sons Sean Sr. and Keith; grandchildren Reggie, Marvin, Sean Jr, AJ, Jayden Jesse, Amanda, RJ, Ericka, Genaye, Tyerra and Dollar as well as several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 18 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
