Mr. Jesse Purington Conn Sr.'s Obituary
Conn, Jesse Purington, 89, of Newton, AL, formerly Land O' Lakes. He was born January 30, 1920 in Smithfield, PA., and went to the Lord December 22 2009. He was a retired brick mason and builder and belonged to the United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army from June 22, 1944 - May 25, 1945, participating in the campaigns of France, Belgium and Germany and was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern (theater of operations) Campaign Medal with 3 battle stars, Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge. He was preceded in death by his son Jesse P. Conn, Jr. December 22, 2000 and his wife Beatrice C. Conn April 21, 2002. Survivors: daughters Judy Bush, Alabama; Lois Coots, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
