Johnson, Jerold L., Major (R), 78, of Pinellas Park, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017. Flag bearer for his session – Soldiers of Christ, he was an active officer in The Salvation Army for 42 ½ years .and in retirement a member of the St. Petersburg Corps. Jerold built 4 Salvation Army facilities during his officership. Jerold is survived by his loving wife: Helen; 4 children: Nathan, Kevin, Lurlene Johnson and Ivy Roberts; 5 grandchildren and 2 brothers Warren and Paul Johnson. Funeral services will be held at The Salvation Army – St. Petersburg Corps, 3800 9th Avenue North on Saturday, June 17th, visitation beginning at 9:30 and funeral at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army – St. Petersburg Corps.
