Jeremy Ruger's Obituary
On the evening of Saturday, August 7, 2021, Jeremy Charles Ruger, the beloved son of William and Margaret Ruger, passed away at the age of 42. He was surrounded by his entire family as he was called home to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jeremy was born August 22,1978 in Manhasset, NY to William and Margaret Ruger. Although being born with a congenital heart defect and Down’s Syndrome this never stopped Jeremy and it never took away from his joy of living. He overcame many medical obstacles in his life and was always happy to prove a doctor’s prognosis wrong. He lived a long, beautiful and prosperous life while spreading joy and understanding to everyone he met.
Jeremy had a passion for his job at Goodwill Industries and even in his last hours he wanted to go to work. He was also an avid bowler and part of the H.Y.A. Club (Handicap Young Adults) bowling league in St. Petersburg, FL where his showmanship had no equal. In addition, Jeremy loved going to the movies, singing his favorite songs, dancing, swimming and watching his favorite television show American Ninja Warrior.
He is survived by his parents William & Margaret Ruger, his brother Billy and his sister Kelly-Ann, Sister-in-law Julie, his nieces and nephews Anna, Kristyna, David and Anthony as well as his Great Nephew Spencer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 20th, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:30am, 5750 49th Street North, St. Petersburg FL 33709.
