Jeanette Cornell's Obituary
Jeanette was born April 19, 1927 in Detroit MI to Paul and Edith Badertscher. After high school she attended Detroit Bible Institute, where she received her Teacher Training Certificate, and then to Taylor University where she met her future husband, John Cornell. They were married on June 7, 1952 and began preparing to go into missionary service overseas. They were soon accepted to serve with The Evangelical Alliance Mission, TEAM, and in 1958 landed in Costa Rica for language study for a year, then onto Venezuela where she served alongside her husband for over 30 years, ministering to women and children and raising her family of 8 children. Due to health reasons they returned to the US in 1990, continuing to serve missionaries at D&D Missionary Homes in St Petersburg FL as volunteers for many years. She is predeceased by her husband, John, of 54 years, her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by 8 children, 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Jeanette passed on to glory on Nov 12, 2019 at the age of 92. Services will be held on Monday, Nov 18, 2019 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, beginning with a visitation at 10:00 and a service to follow in the mausoleum chapel at 11:00.
