JAY LAWRENCE HANDLER
Proud father, devoted son, loving brother, Jay served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force, with a tour of duty in the Far East, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He served his community as a forensic photographer for the St Petersburg Police Department. A life-long resident of historic Kenwood, Jay attended West Central Elementary, Mirror Lake Jr High School, St Petersburg High School, St Petersburg Jr College and graduated with several degrees from the University of South Florida. He is survived by his son, Alvin Irving Handler, his sister, Royce Handler Bell and several cousins on both sides of his family. He had a profound effect on every one he met.
Jay will be interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery. A memorial service with full military honors will be announced at a later date.
