In Loving Memory of Jaryd James Buckowski
Jaryd James Buckowski, 26 years old
Born on 11/24/98 in Reno Nevada. Passed away on 7/15/25 in Seminole Florida.
Jaryd had a light about him that was undeniable. It wasn’t just in his smile or the warmth of his embrace, but in the way he carried himself — like the first rays of the rising sun, steadily and quietly bringing light to everyone around him. His eyes sparkled with the same intensity and hope that the rising sun holds, reflecting the strength and beauty of his spirit. Those who knew him were drawn to that warmth, feeling instant comfort whenever they were near him.
Jaryd’s love for life was as boundless as his curiosity. He had a deep respect for Japanese culture, especially the art and precision behind the craftsmanship of things like the rotary engine. It was as if Jaryd, too, was built with a similar kind of precision — he knew how to fix things, make them work, and bring out their fullest potential, much like his prized Milwaukee tools. Whether it was a mechanical problem or a personal one, Jaryd had the charm and skill to make things run smoothly again, always bringing people together with his knowledge, his laughter, and his unwavering support.
He was a man of passion — passionate about his craft, about people, and about life itself. He cherished the quiet moments, the late-night talks, and the way the world seemed to open up when you took the time to really understand it. His friends and family will forever remember his smile, laughter, the way he walked, generosity, love for music, driving anywhere, his desire for a juicy steak and creating gifts from his heart for the people he loved.
He waged a quiet war within, longing to be free from pain, from sorrow and from the weight unseen. Always reaching for peace, always seeking the light. Now he rests, his soul unburdened, and we find solace knowing he has finally found the peace he so fiercely sought and deeply deserved.
Jaryd is survived by Karen Hangge and James Buckowski, stepfather Tim Hangge, stepmother Cindy, sisters Kieley and Kalena, stepsisters Alex and Stephanie, his son James, grandparents, and countless friends and family who were blessed to have shared in his journey.
A celebration of life will be held on 8/15/25 at 11 am at Memorial Park Funeral home (5750 49th St North St Petersburg FL 33709). There will be a public visitation for 10 to 11 am. We invite all who knew and loved Jaryd to join us in celebrating his extraordinary life.
Though this loss is devastating, we choose to carry Jaryd’s light forward, much like the ever-rising sun. His kindness, his mechanical genius, his charm, and his love will continue to shine through each of us. We find strength in living with the same generosity and heart that he did every day.
In honor of Jaryd’s memory, and to help raise awareness about the ongoing battle against fentanyl, donations can be made to Fentanyl Fathers. Your support will help spread awareness, provide aid to those impacted, and continue the fight against this devastating epidemic.
Jaryd’s light will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy, like the perfect precision of a well-crafted engine, will continue to move us forward, one thoughtful, loving step at a time. He will be missed beyond words – his love endures.
