Janis Elizabeth Rowland's Obituary
Janis Elizabeth (Forde) Rowland, age 93, of Clearwater, Florida, was called home to be with her Lord on January 14, 2026, in Clearwater.
Janis was born on March 13, 1932, in Flint, Michigan. In 1956, she moved with her husband and young son to Florida and two years later welcomed twin daughters into the family. She built a life rooted in faith, service, and deep love for family.
A devoted Christian, Janis was a faithful and dedicated member of The Salvation Army in Clearwater. She joyfully served the church through many years of volunteer work, including involvement in music, youth ministry, and women’s ministries.
Janis was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Steve Rowland and his wife Terri; her twin daughters, Paula Bridges and her husband Paul, and Pam Bridges and her husband Bill. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great joy and pride in her life.
Janis’ life reflected her unwavering faith in God, her generous spirit, and her love for family and friends. She leaves a legacy of devotion, service, and grace that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 4:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army, located at 1625 North Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida 33765.
