Janice Pentz's Obituary
It is with much sadness that the family announce that on October 16, 2022, Janice “Jan” Overby Pentz, 83, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully at Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas.
Jan was born on September 23, 1939, in Eden, North Carolina, to Wesley and Elsie (Cochran) Overby. She grew up in Draper with her twin sister and her brother. She graduated from Tri-City High School in Eden, NC and worked many places throughout the years but eventually landed in the banking industry.
Jan was married to Ed, the love of her life, for 53 years, who passed away just one day prior to her passing. They both wished to be together forever. Jan loved her husband and family more than anything in the world. She was known for her infectious smile and her kind spirit.
Jan is survived by her daughters, Anissa Harris and Rhonda Jones Wolfe (Eric); her twin granddaughters, Amanda and Brittany Harris; her grandson, Josh Burnette; her great granddaughter, Sophie Burnette; her brother Charles Overby (Doris); her sister-in-law Anita Davis (Donald); as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents, Wes and Elsie; her identical twin sister Joan Overby Wright; and her brother-in-law, Jack Wright.
A heartfelt thank you to the family, friends and neighbors for their love and support to both Jan and Ed. A special thank you to Mark, Paola and Javi for their care and compassion during these difficult times. The family would also like to thank the amazing team at Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas, with a special recognition to Kelly and Catherine.
A private Celebration of Life and Love will be held at a future date. Memorial donations in honor of Jan may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Clearwater, Florida 33760 , or by visiting their website at https://suncoasthospicefoundation.org .
