Mr. James Lee Vann Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. James Lee Vann, Sr. of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 18, 2019 in his home. He was 64.
Jim was born May 8, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois; the beloved son of George and Irene Vann. A committed employee of the NALCO Co, Jim retired after 30 years as a fork lift operator. In his free time he enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and was an avid golfer.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Vann. Jim is survived by his two children; James Vann, Jr (Michele Shelby-Vann) and Christina Vann (Shawn Wilson). He was the loving grandfather of five grandchildren; Devin, Alexander, Connor, Christian and Merrick. He is also survived by his loving mother, Irene Vann; nephew Kevin Vann and his wife Taylor and their children Ethan, age 13, Elise, age 10, and Emdyn, age 8; and niece Erin Kornstadt and her husband Bob and their children Ella, age 9, Aiden, age 8 and Ava, age 6.
