James Oliver Spence Sr.'s Obituary
James Oliver Spence Sr., 60, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away at Saint Anthony's Hospital on Friday, April 11th, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Ruby Spence. James was a 1983 graduate of West Muskingum High School.
James was a dedicated Ohio State, Bengals, and Cowboy's fan. Besides watching football, he loved listening to country music and spending time with family and friends. James was happy-go-lucky, always smiling. He had a special bond with his two grandkids, Hope and David.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart, Tamitha Evans Spence, whom he married 36 years ago; one daughter Tiffany; two sons, James Jr. and Christopher; one brother, Ken (Beth) Spence, of Zanesville, Ohio; two sisters, Theresa Nicholson, also of Zanesville, and Brenda (Mick) Powell, of Brownsville, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and his father-in-law, Fred Evans, of Zanesville, Ohio.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Madeline Yester, Lewis and Myrtle Johnson, and Oliver Spence; one brother, Steve; niece and nephew Arielle and Kyle Spence; one brother-in-law, Ray Nicholson; and his mother-in-law, Harriet Williams.
