James L. Pizzulli Jr.'s Obituary
James L. Pizzulli Jr., 84, of Pinellas Park, Florida, went home in the arms of Jesus on Sunday, July 10, 2022. He was born September 8, 1937, in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late James and Jean Pizzulli.
He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Gail Pizzulli, son Jay Pizzulli daughter Karen Allen, son-in-law Lee Allen, and their seven children Hannah, Jonathan, Jennie, Daniel (Abby), Bethany, James and Gracie. He is also survived by his three siblings, Joanne, Jerald (Ruth Ann), and Judith Gill.
James Pizzulli was a servant of God. He loved the Lord, his family and children. He was apt to teach and was quick to correct error. He was easy to communicate with and was always ready to give an answer for the reason of the hope in Him.
He served his country from 1959 to 1965 when he was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard.
His love of children led him to begin a Sunday School Children’s Ministry in Elizabeth, New Jersey that started the 1960’s and continued until he left for Hunterdon County, New Jersey, in the mid 1970’s. His commitment to children led him to preach annually, for over two decades, during the summer months at Pine Bush Bible Camp. Jim was a full-time employee for Exxon Research Center, immediately after he graduated from Bergen Tech Vocational High School and retired 44 years later. While working for Exxon he started a professional photography business in the mid 70’s which he successfully grew into a store front business and his son Jay took over in 1998. In 2004 Jim and Gail moved to Florida where he continued to work full-time at various jobs until his passing.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Gospel Chapel, 2262 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713, Friday, July 15, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Gospel Chapel to be distributed to full-time workers B. A., Special Areas and Mike Attwood.
