James Edward Greene's Obituary
James E. Greene, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 at his home in Pinellas Park, FL.
Jim was born June 27, 1963, in Dayton, OH, to Richard “Dick” and Carolyn Sue Greene.
Jim was known for being able to accomplish anything he set his mind to, whether it was within his family life, career, or hobbies.
Jim was an enthusiast of the BBQ, cars, and rock music. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Van Halen, LSU Tigers, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He loved to travel for both business and pleasure. Jim loved going to the beach to work on his tan. He enjoyed a nice glass of JD Honey, a cold Diet Mt. Dew, some Sugar Free Red Bull for a pick me up, and a strong vodka and Gatorade Zero to relax. Jim also found comfort in mowing and manicuring his lawn.
He also embraced expanding his knowledge of things he was passionate about in search of excellence. For instance, Jim attended P-Tech to learn welding techniques to tub his 69 Camaro RS. He also attended BBQ classes with Pit Masters’ Myron Mixon and Rub Bagby from Swamp Boys’ BBQ to enhance his already formidable cooking and grilling skills. Most recently, he was attending the School of Rock Guitar Lessons with Joel Hoekstra, Brad Gillis, and Jeff Scott Soto, all in the interest of being the best he could be.
Jim applied that same passion for excellence in relation to his career. He worked for MSC Industrial Supply for the previous 26 years, achieving the title of Vice President of Field Sales for which he was very proud.
In addition to residing in Pinellas Park with his wife Angie, Jim relished spending quality time with her at their condo in Ormond Beach. He also enjoyed having his family share in the good times, of which there were many!
Jim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Angela; 2 sons Christopher (Sarah) and Richard (Natalie); 3 Grandchildren, JJ, Jackson, Ellison with one more on the way; his parents Dick and Carol Greene, brother Greg (Lisa) Greene; mother-in-law, Alice Ratliff Panstingel; father-in-law, Bennett Ratliff I; 2 brothers-in-law Ben (Maria) Ratliff and James (Jenny) Ratliff and 5 nieces and nephews Ashley, Maddie, Anna, Ben and Lillian, and 5 Great nieces and nephews Salvatore, Gianna, Leonardo, Arabella and Sebastian.
