Henry L. Vizenor's Obituary
Vizenor Henry L "Hank", 85 of St Petersburg died Dec 11th at home under the care of Hospice. He was born in Gary Ind. Moved to Tarpon Springs FI from Illinois in 1952
and then to his home in Meadowlawn area of St Petersburg in 1954.
He was a devote Catholic and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church
He was a proud Navy Veteran of WWII serving on the USS Texas and later on the USS Quincy. He belonged to the VFW Post 6827.He retired from Coca Cola in 1986 after 26 years of service.
He was a very avid bowler. He bowled many years in the Park League @Sunshine Bowl and over 25 years in the Commercial League at Meadowlawn/Sunrise Lanes. Hank and John Dirrigel won the doubles division of the St Pete City Tournament in 1984. He later bowled in the St Pete Senior All Stars until Developing knee problems.
He was a very devoted Husband of 63 years and a pillar of strength for his very large
family. He taught them all the values of life and to enjoy all while you can.
To everyone he was known as "grandpa" and to his grandchildren "Pop-pop".
Survivors are his wife of 63 yrs Delores (Peg); Daughter Susan Thompson of St Petersburg; Son Tom of Kenneth City; 7 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
