Helen Christine Searles Passmore's Obituary
Passmore, Helen Christine Searles, 93, of St. Petersburg, Florida was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 9, at Suncoast Hospice’s South Pinellas Care Center.
Helen was born in St. Petersburg on December 27, 1923. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1942. She worked as a clerk at Webb’s city, a receptionist, and a secretary for Faith Church. Helen enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, traveling with her husband for World Vision, and attending church.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, George; four brothers Edward, Horace, Virgil, and Charles; and a sister Beatrice Edna Bartlett.
Helen is survived by her stepdaughter Nancy Jo (Passmore) Davis of Colorado; many step-grandchildren and great-step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and other family and friends.
It was Helen’s wish to have a direct burial so a Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00pm on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Clubhouse at Harshaw Lake Park Condominiums, 1601 43rd Street North, St. Petersburg, with Pastor Richard White officiating. Memorial Park Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements. She will be interred at Woodlawn Memory Gardens.
