Hartsel Lee Overman's Obituary
Hartsel Lee Overman of Pinellas Park, Florida passed away peacefully Saturday, December 16, 2017 in Bay Pines Veterans Medical Center. He was 67.
Hartsel was born February 10, 1950 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; the beloved son of the late Thomas James Overman, Sr. and Kathleen East Overman.
In November, 1969, he enlisted in the United States Army and served proudly until his Honorable Discharge May 25, 1971. He was an active member of Family Fellowship Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas James Overman, Jr. and Amos Walter Overman. Hartsel is survived by his sister, Linda Redwine and her husband Jimmie of Pinellas Park, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews including; Dawn Wilson, Jamie Reis, Amy Gilbert, Ron Overman, Alexa Reis, Nicholas Reis, Zachary Gilbert, Anthony Gilbert and Danielle Overman. Hartsel was a proud veteran devoted to his faith and his family. He will be dearly missed by many.
Visitation will be held 12pm until 1pm with funeral services at 1pm Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Family Fellowship Center 5475 54th Ave N, St. Petersburg, Florida 33709. Immediately following church services he will be laid to rest with military honors in Memorial Park Cemetery St. Petersburg, Florida.
