I first met Mrs. Gums when I was just 12 years old and moved into Barclay Estates. I had more of a chance to get to know her when I would visit my folks, Curtis and Nell Rodes, these last few years. We'd often go to lunch and then play dominoes. Mrs. Gums loved to play and I was always happy to join the group. I loved seeing her interact with my 14 year old nephew. He would always go visit her every time he came into town from the time he was about 2. Mrs. Gums always had a little something for him and they both enjoyed his visits. I'll miss seeing her in the neighborhood when I visit and hearing how she's doing when I talk to my mom. Our sympathies are with all of the Gums' family. Diane Garland
