Harold was a loved grandfather and husband to my beautiful grandmother Odessa Janinda. His kindness was legendary, his quick wit, sparkling eyes, intelligence, tact, courage, and humor have touched people all over the world. Harold’s work ethic, devotion to God, and service to others is singular and unmatched. His ability and passion to share his knowledge of engineering in an engaging fashion is a legacy that is carried on by me. I will most remember my grandfather for educating, encouraging, and inspiring me to become an engineer myself. His soul filled of kindness, teaching me a wonderful set of morals and ethics to live by. He is survived by his granddaughter Audrey Evea Cunningham, grandson-n-law Matthew Cunningham, and his great-grandson Cameron Alton Cunningham of Washington, DC.
Papa Harold is also survived by his wife
Odessa Janinda, (and through marriage and love by) Gary and Sandra Bowen, Garret and Danielle Bowen, Sheila Bowen, Allen Kraay, Victoria Kraay, Allen Kraay, Jr. Mathew and Audrey Cunningham and Cameron Cunningham. Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
My deepest condolences to all members of Harold's blended family. Harold was truly a gentleman. Although through marriage, Papa Harold was the only grandfather and great grandfather my children knew. We will deeply miss him.
A service (after covid restrictions are lifted) will be held by Pastor Bronson at their church on Belleair Road. Papa Harold's ashes will be laid to rest with our family in the plots at Largo Cemetery.
It is a difficult time not being able to share hugs during this time of grief. I ask that everyone reach out to each other. This will pass, we will be together again.
