Grant L King's Obituary
Grant King, 94, of St. Petersburg, Florida journeyed to heaven on September 27, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Alberta M. Roberts King, a daughter Marlene (Henry) Warner of St. Petersburg, Florida, a son Philip J. King of Merritt Island, Florida, and three grandchildren Robyn (William) Royall, Charisma (Robert) Marin and Dallas J. King. He also leaves behind his beloved great grandchildren Chase Royall, Michael Marin, Ryan Marin, Jacob Marin and Zoey King and a dear sister, Iola (Richard) Weigel Sharon Springs, New York.
He was a farmer most of his life in Sharon Springs, New York and also worked at General Electric in Schenectady, New York as a crane operator. He was a craftsman building his own house and farm buildings. After moving to St. Petersburg, Florida he still worked with wood in a shop in his back yard building children's toys and furniture. He was an avid gardener who loved to work outside.
He will be greatly missed but his wise words that shaped who we are will never be forgotten. His love and devotion to us will stay in our hearts forever.
Services will be held in New York at a later date.
