Gordon Powell's Obituary
Powell, Gordon, March 15, 1927 to January 2, 2014, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at the Bay Pines VA Hospice with his loving wife Clarissa at his side. A WWII Navy veteran who served in the South Pacific aboard the USS Hyman DD-732. A member of Christ United Methodist Church, sang in the choir, member of the Heavenly Friends Class. Survived by 3 daughters: Cindy, Marie and Laurel; 1 son, Keith; 3 grandchildren: Rebecca, Jared and Brenden and 1 great grandson Brayden. Also survived by 2 brothers, Maurice and Robert Grimbly. A viewing will be held on Monday, January 6th from 10:30-11:30am with a service to follow at 11am at Christ United Methodist Church, 467 1st Ave N. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
