Glovanna Fite Perricone's Obituary
Glovanna had four children, Johnnie Louise (deceased), Sherry, Michael, and Juanita, and many grand and great grand children. She was married for many years to Michael Perricone, a Florida Veterans Service Officer. She was a veteran of World War 11 serving as a chaplains assistant in the Womens Auxiliary Corps. After the war she worked in the medical field and retired from the U.S. Veterans Administration Hospital, Bay Pines Fl, where she volunteered for years following retirement. She was an award winning quilter, a culinary magician, an expert seamstress, and accomplished in several other crafts. She was a long standing member of First Christian Church of Seminole and had many close friends from the church and various local crafts clubs.. She was very proud to be an American of Cherokee Indian ancestry, a Veteran, a Mother and community volunteer. The family would like to express their most heartfelt appreciation for the loving care she received over several months from Palm Gardens Nursing home in Largo, and for over thirty years of care from her friend and physician, Dr. Leo Teytelbaum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Glo's friends donate to their favorite charity, the First Christian Church of Seminole or any veterans organization. She will be laid to rest at the Veteran's Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl.
