Gloria Ann Farnsworth Eisencoff's Obituary
Gloria Ann Farnsworth Eisencoff was born on September 14, 1926, to Thomas and Ethel Farnsworth in Louisville, Kentucky. When she was 7 years old they welcomed Elizabeth Joyce to the family.
Gloria graduated from Louisville Girls High School on June 6, 1944, (D-day). She always was proud that she graduated on such a historical day. She attended the University of Louisville for approximately 2.5 years, where she was member of Zeta Tau Alph sorority.
In 1947 her family picked up everything and moved to Hollywood, Florida. Where she enjoyed lounging on the beach and working in a pediatrician's office.
In November 1958 she married Charles Eisencoff whom she met at a ballroom dance studio. In January 1961 they welcomed their daughter, Bonnie, to their family. Gloria enjoyed many happy times with Charles and Bonnie, as well as with her parents, her sister, and husband. John, and their two daughters, Lori and Lynda.
Unfortunately, in April 1975 tragedy struck when Charles was killed in an accident on his job. This was a time when Gloria needed to rely on her strong faith in God, her family, and her church friends to survive. She was determined to continue and raise Bonnie on her own.
In 1982, Gloria and Bonnie decided to move to St. Petersburg where the pace was slower at that time, and to be closer to her sister who was moving to Fr. Myers.
After Bonnie graduated from college, Gloria and Bonnie began a time of traveling all over the county, including two trips to Europe. She also enjoyed spending time with sister, brother-in-law, nieces, and their families. She viewed her niece's children as grandchildren and loved them very much.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Bonnie Eisencoff, sister Elizabeth Freeman, two nieces, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is Saturday, April 5, 11:00 AM, at Suncoast Church, 2300 62nd Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gloria will always be remembered for her deep love and faith in God, but also for her family and many friends.
