Geraldine Lucille Bussey's Obituary
Geraldine Lucille Bussey, 90, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024 after suffering a stroke.
Geraldine was born on July 21, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. Geraldine studied at Lake Forest College for a few years, She then worked at various secretarial jobs. She met George Meigs Bussy in Chicago and went on to marry on Kuly 7, 1956. They had two children, George Thomas Bussey and Susan Lynn Reuben.
George and Gerri lived in Buffalo Grove, IL. They spent an active life with summers boating on Lake Geneva and winters snowmobiling in Rhinelander, WI. They packed in a lot of fun with their neighborhood friends and family. Geraldine and George moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1987 where Geraldine bought a dry cleaner. George continued to work in insurance. Gerri ("the cleaning lady") had a hobby... it was work and people. She loved Milwaukee and loved hard work.
Geraldine lived a full life as a business owner. After she sold the business, she enjoyed time with family and moved to Florida when her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Charles Reuben retired to Florida. She even moved onto their boat for 8 months traveling and living life. Gerri was extremely caring and giving. She will be remembered by her blue eyes and her beautiful smile. Geraldine
Geraldine was preceded in death by George Meigs Bussey (husband), George Thomas Bussey (son), Lucille Geraldine Smith (mother), John A. Smith (father), Bonnie Jean Smith (sister) and John Smith (brother).
Geraldine is survived by her daughter Susan Reuben and her husband, Dr. Charles Reuben and her grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Bussey, Michael Meigs Bussey, Emily Elizabeth Luedtke, and Kelly Nicole Luedtke, as well as great grandchildren, Brinlee Ann Bussey and Luca George Tiedeman.
