GEORGE GLICOS WAS A VERY DEAR FRIEND OF OURS. I SHALL NEVER FORGET ALL THE HARD WORK THAT GEORGE AND URANIA DID FOR ST. STEFANOS CHURCH. HE SERVED ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE WELL KNOWN GREEK AMERICAN ORGANIZATION THE AHEPA FOR MANY YEARS. HE WAS A GREAT CONTRIBUTOR AND SUPPORTER OF ST. STEFANOS CHURCH. GEORGE WAS A VERY WELL LIKED AND LOVED MEMBER OF OUR PARISH. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. WHEN THEY MOVED TO NEW PORT RICHIE EVERYBODY AT ST. STEFANOS CHURCH FELT THEIR ABSENCE. . MY HUSBAND NICHOLAS STATHACOPOULOS AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THE WONDERFUL DINNER PARTIES WE HAD AT THEIR HOME HERE IN ST. PETE ALSO I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW SUPPORTIVE GEORGE AND URANIA WERE WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS IN AND OUT OF THE VA HOSPITALS FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE. AND WHEN HE PASSED AWAY THE GLICOS 'S WERE RIGHT THERE. I SHALL NEVER FORGET GEORGE GOOD BY DEAR FRIEND MAY YOUR MEMORY BE ETERNAL. MY FAMILY AND I SEND OUR CONDOLENCES TO YOUR FAMILY AND OUR LOVE. YOUR FRIEND LITSA STATHACOPOULOS.
Uncle George was the reason my dad came to the United States. He had a strong work ethic. He loved family. That was the Greek way. He showed kindness to us all. He was a very generous man. We have so many fond memories at your home in Westbrook, eating pizza and hanging out in the hood. There are so many fun times and memories made "upta camp". Barbecues, swimming, waterskiing, boat rides, snowmobiling (my dad almost getting hit by a plane), walking to Kokatosi's, sleepovers, and much more. You will be missed dearly. We love you!! Until we meet again.

My Uncle George was the patriarch of our family here in the US. We were so fortunate to know him and to love him. He will be missed tremendously. Rest easy dear uncle. Jim, Katie and out boys. ❤️
