George D. Craig Sr.'s Obituary
George D. Craig, Sr., 87, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away December 2, 2015. George was born on February 10, 1928 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. George was a dedicated family man who cherished his family more than anything, even being the honorary Uber driver for his grandchildren. He was a prior member of Northwest Presbyterian Church. Craig had a passion for bowling and camping and loved watching sports.
George worked for the Tampa Bay Times, retiring after 25 years of service. He volunteered at Dixie Hollins High School's ROTC for eight years. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy. George was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Eleanor.
He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Chrimes and son, Don (Shari); grandchildren, Erik (Laura) Chrimes, Derek (Ashley) Craig, Kyle (Brittany) Craig and Dawn Drake; great-granchildren, Aubrey, Cooper and Kylie; and brother Richard Craig.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Menorah Manor in memory of George. The graveside service will be held at Memorial Park cemetery on December 19th at 11am. In honor of George the attire is “Craig” casual.
