George Edward Brownell II (Ed Brownell) (Ed Swing) was called to heaven Tuesday June 2, 2020.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents; Barbara Swing, Merritt Swing and George Brownell. Ed is survived by his wife Rachel, and their two children, Jerrett and Danielle; his grandchildren; Lauryn, Wesley, Jenna and Morgan, and his siblings; Brian and Cherie
Ed was born in Santa Monica, California. He graduated from Ashland high Oregon, joined the Navy and studied Nuclear Power Engineering.
Ed married the love of his life; Rachel, in 1972 and they had two children whom he was so very proud of. Ed loved his children and grandchildren. He took pride in every little thing they did. Ed had a special bond with each of them in his own special way.
Ed was in car sales most of his life. Ed made a name for himself very early on and he was known as “Crazy Ed”. Crazy Ed would do anything to make you laugh and bring a smile to your face. Ed had a personality that was larger than life. He loved to be the center of attention. Ed had an infectious laugh and a welcoming smile. Ed loved his family and friends more than anything. Ed was Gator fan and loved to show off his team. Ed loved to talk politics and debate with anyone who would listen and participate. Ed was a hardworking man and did absolutely everything to provide for his family. No job was to large or to small to take on. Whatever Ed did he put his heart into. Ed was a proud man and he took pride in his work and his family. Ed was filled with integrity and love. He would give you the shirt off his back and the last penny in his pocket. Ed was courageous and strong, even through all the challenges life would throw at him. Ed was someone to rely on, to trust and admire. Ed was a loving son, a brother, a husband, a daddy, a baumpie, a cousin, an uncle, a nephew, a true friend, a good neighbor and a great man who is loved by so many and will be missed by all.
Dad, we love you so very much. You made an impact in our life. We are thankful for you. Our life is better because you were a part of it. We are grateful for all that you did and all that you were. We will live by your example. We will smile because we think of you. We will laugh because we will remember your jokes and all the silly things you would do. We will cry because we miss you so much and we will never think its fair that you are gone. We promise that your great grandchildren will know you. We will share and keep your memories alive. You will live on in our hearts forever.
