Gene C. Gorbet Jr.'s Obituary
Gorbet, Gene Charles Jr., of Pinellas Park, FL, passed away on July 7, 2013. He was born on February 10, 1958, to Gene Sr. and Dorothy Gorbet in Sycamore, IL. He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Sr. He is survived by his wife Linda, and his sons Roger (fiance Angela) and Jeffrey, all of St. Petersburg, FL. He is also survived by his mother Dorothy of Sycamore, IL and his sisters, Barbara and Teresa from Milwaukee, WI and Lisa from Sycamore, IL. He attended elementary, middle and high school in Sycamore, IL. He attended Kishwaukee College in Malta, IL and transferred to Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He moved to Bradenton, FL in July of 1984. He spent his working life as an accountant at Special Data Processing in Clearwater, FL. He was a dialysis patient for the last 5 years...many, many thanks to all at the Davita Bay Breeze Dialysis Center in Largo, FL. He loved to fish and was a die-hard Chicago sports fan...Cubs, Blackhawks and Bears. He was so excited when the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup last month. He is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Kidney TRUSTTM. Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL, 33709 on Sunday, July 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mass will be held Monday, July 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7809 46th Way, Pinellas Park, FL 33781. Burial will be after Mass at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave North, Clearwater, FL 33760.
