Gary Lewis Hanson's Obituary
Gary Hanson, 71, of Palm Harbor, passed on October 28, 2024 in the care of Suncoast Hospice. He was a Florida Native and graduated from Northeast High School. From there, he went into the Air Force, and later became a corrections officer. He then became the owner of G.L. Hanson Carpet Cleaning after his father passed it down for him to run. He graduated from St. Leo University, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Gary was a dedicated member of his home church, Countryside Christian Church, for over thirty years, where he often served as an usher. He was married for 36 years to his devoted wife, Claudia, and enjoyed family get togethers. His favorite pastimes were riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and best of all, cruising.
Gary is predeceased by his parents, Grover and Marie Hanson, and his, Donald Hanson. He is survived by his wife, Claudia, his daughters Heather Hanson and Kristen Lewis, his sons William Hanson and Jesse Hanson, and his 5 grandchildren: Kaylie, Novius, Emery, and Nora.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, followed by a reception from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
